Join us to celebrate the launch of a new book about oral history, culturally relevant teaching, and student-centered teaching. The book, written by South Mountain Community College professor Dr. Summer Cherland, highlights the origins and methods of the South Phoenix Oral History Project and provides a guide for others to duplicate their approaches.
The launch party is May 2nd at 2pm at the South Mountain Community Library. Light refreshments will be served. Hosted by two current students, several guest speakers will discuss their own experiences conducting oral histories.
