Every year, South Mountain Community College students submit photos and captions to our promos challenge. Photos must be archival or taken by the students, and captions must include contextual and local history. Previous photos have featured the palm trees near 24th Street, the campus site in 1980, and the Center Street Bridge. See our favorites below:
This year’s photo, taken by a student at the South Central Pete’s Fish and Chips captured our fascination immediately. The student chose to visit Pete’s at night, making the colors of the streetlights, the neon marquee, and the patio striking.
